/ Stop Remote Changes: |
Defaulted to not allow remote changing of your away message. Once you click to allow remote changes you will not need to allow again. Remote changing of away messages are done above. |
| Clone AIM: | One computer can sign on up to 10 screen names with AIM Cloning. *Works for ALL Versions of Windows* |

| Refresh List: | Looks for new screen names, used after you signon with a Cloned Session, it also removes the ad if you have that option enabled. |

| Random Pre- Set: | This
option sets a Random Away Message from www.AIMAwayMessages.com, there
are pre-set categories, and a random category. You can also configure
the Minimum number of votes and rating required to be taken into consideration
when selecting a random awaymessage. (connection to aimawaymessages used with permission, when a new awaymessage is added on AIMAwayMessages.com or gets voted above your requirements, it will enter the chances of being picked at random, we are in no way responsible for the content of the away message that gets selected) |
| Scheduled: | Enter a time, date, and away message and it will be set at that time! Plan ahead and schedule your away messages it will let you leave your computer and be able to tell people where you are. |
| Countdown: | Enter the number of minutes you will be gone and RemoteAway will post a new message every minute indicating how long it will be until you return. |
| Hot Key: | Boss coming around the corner? Can't hold it any longer? Press Ctrl+F12 and RemoteAway will set your message immediatly. The hot key message can be configured here Press Ctrl+F12 to use it. |
Instruction
on use:
Before you run Remote Away you need to have any version of AIM running,
and the buddy list viewable in order for the program to run.
The first time the application is ran you must choose where aim.exe is
installed, most likely place is c:\program files\aim95\aim.exe

Problem: Run-Time error '339':
Component 'mscomctl.ocx' or one of its dependencies not correctly registered: a file is missing or invalid
Solution: Download mscomctl.ocx here in zip format, After downloading, unzip into c:\windows\system32 or c:\winnt\system32 - Problem:
Run-Time error '713':
C lass not registered. You need the following file to be installed on your machine. MSSTDFMT.DLL.
Solution: Download MSSTDFMT.DLL here in zip format, After downloading, unzip into c:\windows\system32 or c:\winnt\system32, go to Start > Run > Type "regsvr32 c:\winnt\system32\MSSTDFMT.DLL" without quotes or "regsvr32 c:\windows\system32\MSSTDFMT.DLL". It should say succeeded, press ok, and attempt to run RemoteAway again.

must allow changes. Also corrects minor cloning errors, fixes AIM not
starting automatically after a reboot if enabled.
09-28-2003 - Version .52 Fixed a small bug with Cloning AIM for
some Windows XP users.
09-21-2003 - Version .51 released! Clone AIM now works for 98 and
ME. Added ability to schedule your computer to be taken off idle to scheduled
away messages, countdown away messages are now customizeable.
09-17-2003 - Version .50 released! Remotely take your computer
off idle, Premier (paid) members are now able to remove the "Powered By
RemoteAway.com" tag.
08-22-2003 - Version .44 released to correct errors of RemoteAway
freezing up randomly.
06-22-2003 - Version .42 released. Many new options including AIM
Cloning, Ad Removal, Scheduled Away Messages, also the menu was updated
for easier navagation.
03-12-2003 - Added version .25b a small correction for if your
AIM install is not on C:\ (C Drive)
